Have you ever had similar problems?
- We are going to conclude a contract (or place an order with) a Chinese company but we do not know whether it is creditworthy.
- We placed an order with a Chinese company but we cannot even identify the company.
- We paid the deposit or even the full amount but the Chinese company did not perform as agreed because they are in bad situation.
Some of our foreign clients who had business in or with China may end up finding that the companies with which they have had business is a very new company with very low capital or even is not able to perform the contracts as they in a bad situation, for example, having ongoing disputes or lawsuits, or even under court’s compulsory enforcement.
Therefore, to lower potential risks in future business, some of them may engage us to conduct basic legal due diligence on the companies with which they are going to do business or cooperate in other issues.
In a basic legal due diligence, we generally conduct online researches and provide our clients with a basic legal due diligence report covering the target company’s public registered information, including but not limited to registration/operating status, contact information, registered address, shareholding structure, registered and paid-up capital, business scope, change records, and ongoing or previous disputes/lawsuits etc.
We can also provide more detailed legal due diligence to customize it appropriately to our clients’ requirements.
